# Editorial standards

How our insights are researched, written, checked and kept current. The same standard applies to every article, whatever its subject.

## Who writes

Every insight is written and signed by Sandor Domokos, founder of Davies+Harrison and a RERA-registered broker. He is accountable for what is published under his name.

We do not publish guest posts, sponsored content or articles supplied by developers, and no developer or third party pays for coverage.

## How we research

Primary sources come first: the Dubai Land Department, the Dubai Legislation Portal, the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, the UAE Central Bank, the Federal Tax Authority and the developers' own published terms. Press reporting from Gulf News, Khaleej Times and The National is used for market norms and dated events, never as the sole basis for a rule.

Every figure, fee, threshold and legal rule carries an inline attribution to a named publisher and date, and every source is listed with its URL and the date we read it. Portal blogs and competitor material are not cited as fact.

Where a fact cannot be verified against a source we can read, it is left out rather than hedged.

## How a piece is checked

Each article passes through three stages before publication: research, where sources are gathered and read; writing, from those sources alone; and an independent edit, which re-checks every number against its source, fetches every cited page again and removes anything unsupported.

Two automated checks run before anything goes live: one enforces our writing rules and structure, the other confirms that every cited link resolves.

## How we keep articles current

Fees, thresholds, visa rules and developer terms change. Every live article is re-verified at least every ninety days, and pieces built on those facts every thirty days. When a rule or figure changes at the source, we update the text, the tables and the source list.

The published date never moves. An Updated date appears only when the content itself has materially changed.

## Corrections

If you find an error, write to info@daviesandharrison.com with the article and the point in question. We check it against the source, correct the article if we were wrong, and record the change with an Updated date. Material corrections are noted in the text.

## Independence and conflicts

Davies+Harrison is a licensed brokerage, DAH Real Estate Brokerage L.L.C., RERA ORN 53447. We are remunerated as Dubai law provides, under a written agreement that is disclosed to you before any transaction.

Our articles do not recommend individual projects, and no article is written to support a listing. Where a developer is named, it is because its published terms illustrate a rule.

## What our articles are

General information for people considering Dubai property, written in British English with the brevity a private client expects. They are not financial, tax or legal advice for your situation. For that, speak to your adviser, or to us.
